Smooth and soft 100% Cotton, a durable 200gsm weight knit. Made from regenerative anti-pill long staple cotton.

Made from Surplus textiles (Deadstock) with traceable fabric production. Cotton Grown in Queensland, Yarn Spun in the UK and fabric milled and finished in Queensland, Australia. Designed, cut and sewn in Melbourne.
Sizing

Summer is an AU 4-6 and wears a size XS
Olive is an AU 10-12 and wears a size M

Choose the size that will best fit your bust measurement. The measurements are of the exact top pattern laid flat un-stretched. The style is semi fitted rather than tight around the waist. Our designs are made with 100% cotton fabric that has low stretch, this means tops will feel firmer in fit.

Size Up: If you are between sizes, prefer a looser, oversized look.

Size Down: If you are very petite or prefer a tight/firm fit rather than the natural fit in the product images

If it doesn't fit?: We offer size exchanges within 14 days of receiving your order with free return postage within Australia.

Made to Order in Melbourne Australia by Veronica

Care:
Cold Gentle Wash inside out with like colours
Do not Tumble Dry or Dry Clean
Cool iron on reverse
Dry flat and reshape when wet

Made from Surplus textiles (Deadstock) with traceable fabric production.

This cotton is Australian Super Cotton, a high quality long staple cotton plant that is grown in Queensland Australia, via regenerative farming practices.

The cotton was spun into yarn in the UK and the fabric was milled and finished in Queensland, Australia by a B-Corp Certified Mill.

Final top was designed, cut and sewn in Melbourne.

Surplus / Deadstock textiles are excess fabrics left over from mills, manufacturers and designers. Using these fabrics diverts them from waste while reducing the production foot-print of new garments by using materials that already exist.
Small Batch Production

Most of our styles are Made-to-Order, which means you place your order and then we make it just for you. 

This style is Ready-To-Ship which means Veronica has completed a very limited production run of sizes already made, you can get your new fave familiar characters pieces without the usual 10-15 day wait xx Posted after 1-2 Business Days

If you order both a Made to Order and Ready To Ship style, they will be posted at the same time after the made to order production period. 
What if it Doesn't Fit?

Size exchanges can be requested via email or our contact page within 14 days of receiving your order.

We can only offer change of mind returns/refunds on Ready-to-Ship styles, not Made-to-Order styles. all styles can be size exchanged unless listed as final sale or 'last one' xx

Due to the US administration's tariff policies, we do not accept returns on US Orders (Excluding faulty items). Please consider this before purchasing and reach out to us for any questions info@familiarcharacters.com.au

Shipping

Orders are shipped with tracking via Australia Post and their network of international delivery partners after the 10-15 Day Made to Order Production Period.

Australian Standard Shipping: Flat rate Shipping, 3-7 Days business days across Australia

United Kingdom: Orders may be subject to 20% VAT on delivery. Customs duties generally only apply to orders over £135. Orders are sent duties and taxes unpaid

New Zealand: Orders are tax free under $1000 NZD in value. NZ orders are sent with the landing fee unpaid (normally less than $5AUD)

United States: Product Price is inclusive of Duties/Tariffs, Duties and Tarrifs are prepaid.

Welcome! I’m Veronica Rose, 

after years working in the fashion industry, I got to witness the thoughtlessness of fast fashion first hand. But I was disheartened by my lack of choices for ethical fashion that spoke to my vintage loving, sentimental and whimsical taste

Familiar characters is my ideal wardrobe as a nostalgic girl who wants to keep intentional ways of dressing and the practical skills that create high quality clothing alive.
